Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to identify testing needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans from scratch.
• Execute manual functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, usability, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform manual testing for both web-based applications and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Validate new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and production releases.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Scrum teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing before production deployments.
• Review acceptance criteria and ensure complete test coverage across all business requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities.
• Create and maintain QA documentation including test plans, test execution reports, and traceability matrices.
• Recommend process improvements to increase product quality and testing efficiency.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
• Proven experience writing detailed test cases and test plans from scratch.
• Strong experience testing both web applications and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong knowledge of defect lifecycle management and issue tracking tools.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar QA management platforms.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing responsive web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and API validation using tools such as Postman.
• Experience validating integrations between frontend applications and backend services.
• Knowledge of SQL for basic database validation.
• Experience supporting production releases and post-deployment verification.
