Overview

We are hiring a Senior Environmental Compliance Scientist/Specialist with deep expertise in landfill gas and air compliance to lead regulatory programs across 40+ active projects. This role serves as a technical leader and key interface with clients and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead landfill gas (LFG) and air compliance programs across multiple sites
• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Prepare and review complex regulatory reports and permits
• Act as subject matter expert for landfill gas systems and compliance strategy
• Interface with regulatory agencies and clients
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Mentor junior staff and support team development
• Manage priorities across a large, multi-project portfolio

Qualifications

• 6+ years of environmental compliance experience (landfill gas + air compliance required)
• Strong expertise in landfill gas systems, monitoring, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Experience working directly with regulatory agencies
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
