Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate training in-person, virtually, or through e-learning platforms in collaboration with the Training Department.
- Train field leaders on safety protocols, programs, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships with field leadership and team members to drive positive safety outcomes and strengthen safety culture.
- Prepare for and respond to emergency situations, including building evacuation drills and natural disasters.
- Build and maintain strong external relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry/regulatory organizations.
- Assist with injury management by tracking follow-ups, coordinating communication, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure timely collection of required documentation and proper management of work-related injuries and employee care.
- Assist in developing and communicating site-specific safety plans and verify compliance with customer requirements through field engagement.
- Respond to safety incidents by providing support, consultation, and guidance.
- Conduct incident investigations and maintain all required documentation.
- Coach field, shop, and office personnel on safe work practices and applicable regulations.
- Manage internal and external safety inspections and audits, support job hazard analyses, and maintain safety records.
- Review serious injuries and incidents, analyze corrective actions, and recommend preventive measures.
- Identify hazards, recommend controls, and develop strategies to minimize exposure to hazardous conditions.
- Assist in selecting safety-related equipment, including signage, personal protective equipment (PPE), and related safety materials.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on safety management and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and external organizations to support audits, documentation requests, and corrective actions (e.g., OSHA).
- Coordinate injury response, medical care, return-to-work activities, and communication with employees, supervisors, and Risk Management.
- Support work stoppages when necessary and facilitate safety discussions to address hazards and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct research and statistical analyses to support safety initiatives and management decision-making.
- Create and maintain emergency response and evacuation plans, conduct drills, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Knowledge of occupational safety and environmental principles and practices.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
- Understanding of construction operations and job site safety requirements.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, maintenance, safety, environmental health and safety, or operations.
- Experience in mechanical contracting, commercial construction, industrial construction, or related industries preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Valid driver's license.
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification required.
