Our client, a very reputable stormwater company is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to join their team as a permanent employee. A Regulatory Specialist supports company growth by aligning products with evolving regulatory requirements and strengthening the sales team’s strategic position. On a daily basis, the role involves monitoring regional and national regulations, evaluating their impact on new and existing products, and identifying opportunities to position solutions advantageously within the compliance landscape.
The position requires regular engagement with regulatory agencies and municipal stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide technical education, and help facilitate timely project approvals. This includes preparing and submitting approval documentation, tracking regulatory changes, and ensuring products remain compliant as standards evolve.
Internally, the Regulatory Specialist partners closely with sales to develop project-specific regulatory strategies, review specifications, assess competitor positioning, and create clear plans of attack that improve win rates. The role also develops technical tools, presentations, and educational materials that enable sales representatives to confidently communicate regulatory advantages. Collaboration with engineering, product, and marketing teams ensures regulatory strategy aligns with product capabilities and business objectives, while participation in industry events and professional forums helps reinforce market credibility and support fair, practical regulations.
