QA Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst will support user acceptance testing for a third-party integration with a web-based labor-management application. The platform supports business functions such as employee scheduling, timekeeping and workforce management.

This position will work with business users, project leads and technical teams to validate system functionality, document test results and ensure identified issues are resolved before implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality-control testing to ensure software meets defined business, technical and end-user requirements.
  • Draft and revise test plans, test cases and testing scripts.
  • Create test data using valid and invalid scenarios to validate program logic, integrations and end-to-end system workflows.
  • Coordinate with business users to plan and execute user acceptance testing, alpha testing and beta testing.
  • Test third-party integrations within a web-based labor-management application.
  • Validate functionality related to employee scheduling, timekeeping and workforce-management processes.
  • Document test results, defects and supporting evidence.
  • Work with project and technical teams to track problems through resolution and retesting.
  • Confirm that testing is successfully completed and documented before deployment.
  • Follow established quality-assurance policies, standards and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve testing processes and software quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Up to one year of experience in software testing, quality assurance, UAT or a related technical field; relevant internship or academic experience will be considered.
  • Basic understanding of software-testing principles, test cases and defect tracking.
  • Ability to follow established processes and solve routine testing problems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and documentation skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and seek guidance when needed.
  • Comfortable working under general supervision and receiving detailed feedback on new assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience participating in user acceptance testing.
  • Exposure to web-based applications or third-party system integrations.
  • Familiarity with employee scheduling, timekeeping, labor management or workforce-management systems.
  • Understanding of alpha, beta, functional, regression and integration testing.
