Role: Payroll Specialist II

Duration: 6 Contract-to-Hire

Bill Rate: $40/hr

Pay Rate: Lowest possible

Conversion: $36–40/hr + benefits

Hours: 40/week

Work Authorization: US Citizens only

MUST HAVES

• 3–5 years of recent payroll experience
• 2+ recent years of hands-on ADP Workforce Now
• 2+ recent years of hands-on Empower (401k)
  • Understands elections/deferrals
  • Strong with reporting and loan processing
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes
  • State withholding
  • Unemployment taxes
• Year-end payroll processing
  • W-2s
  • 1095-Cs
  • 401(k) catch-up contributions
• Payroll auditing experience
  • Workers' comp
  • Department of Labor
  • Unemployment audits
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment (manager reference on reliability/attendance is highly preferred)

NICE TO HAVE

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
• Canadian payroll/currency experience

DAY TO DAY

• Support employees with payroll-related questions
• Assist with ADP Workforce Now (W-2 retrieval, password resets, etc.)
• Process ETime into ADP
• Run payroll and history reports
• Support workers' comp audits
• Process time & attendance, PTO, mileage, reimbursements, and payroll data entry
• Audit payroll entries for accuracy
• Ensure compliance with wage & hour guidelines
• Work in a high-volume, automated multi-state payroll environment with strong customer service and communication skills

Biggest focus: Recent ADP Workforce Now + Empower experience, strong multi-state payroll/tax knowledge, and someone who is extremely reliable working remotely.
