We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing and highly respected plaintiff personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to join its team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This is a client-facing role responsible for managing personal injury matters from intake through resolution while serving as a trusted resource for clients navigating the legal process. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a personal injury practice and a strong understanding of case management, medical records, insurance communications, and settlement preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters including automobile accidents, premises liability, slip and fall, and wrongful death claims.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring a high level of client service throughout the case lifecycle.
- Coordinate with medical providers to obtain records, billing statements, and treatment documentation.
- Communicate with insurance carriers, adjusters, opposing counsel, and third-party administrators regarding claims, liability, and settlement matters.
- Prepare demand packages, correspondence, medical chronologies, and case summaries for attorney review.
- Track medical expenses, lost wages, and other damages related to client claims.
- Maintain organized and accurate case files utilizing legal case management software.
- Monitor critical deadlines, statutes of limitation, and litigation milestones.
- Assist attorneys with litigation support, including evidence gathering, deposition coordination, and trial preparation.
- Conduct new client intake interviews and collect supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and firm procedures.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager, Litigation Paralegal, or Legal Assistant within a plaintiff personal injury law firm.
- Strong understanding of the personal injury case lifecycle from intake through settlement and/or litigation.
- Experience working directly with insurance companies, medical providers, and attorneys.
- Proficiency with case management platforms such as Filevine, Litify, SmartAdvocate, CASEpeer, Needles, Clio, or similar systems.
- Ability to review, interpret, and summarize medical records and treatment documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously.
- Compassionate, professional, and client-focused approach.
- Litigation support experience is preferred but not required.
