PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Legal Counsel performs legal transactional work under the supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel (Sales, Distribution, Operations) and will be responsible for handling a wide variety of commercial agreements, specifically for client‘s Sales, Distribution and Operations departments, with an emphasis on real estate leasing and general commercial contracting matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide accurate and responsive legal support for a range of commercial transactions, including structuring, drafting and negotiating various agreements for sales, leasing and procurement matters, as well as creating and updating templates for day-to-day operations.

Advise various departments (primarily Sales, Distribution, and Operations) with respect to a full range of legal and business issues, with an emphasis on real estate matters.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & EDUCATION (IF APPLICABLE) REQUIRED

· Juris Doctor (J.D.)

· 3-5 years of experience practicing real estate transactional law, including at a law firm (AmLaw 200 or equivalent boutique preferred).

· Current member in good standing, or registered in-house counsel, with the California Bar

· Exceptional legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
