Founding Account Executive

Role Overview

ChaChing is building a modern subscription billing platform competing with incumbents like Stripe Billing Zuora, and Chargebee. The company offers a crystal clear advantage. Customers can reduce billing costs materially without sacrificing any core functionality.

We are hiring our first dedicated sales leader to establish and scale the go to market function. This is a hands on role responsible for generating pipeline, closing initial customers, and defining a repeatable sales motion.

This position is best suited for a high performing individual contributor who wants to take ownership of revenue and play a foundational role in building a company.

Responsibilities

Build Pipeline

  • Identify and engage target accounts, primarily mid market SaaS companies using Stripe Billing or similar platforms
  • Develop and execute outbound strategies across email, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Generate qualified opportunities independently

Own the Full Sales Cycle

  • Lead deals from initial outreach through close
  • Manage discovery, solution alignment, and technical validation (you will have solution architects available to you). 
  • Navigate multi stakeholder environments including finance, product, and engineering

Translate Product to Business Impact

  • Position the product in terms of cost reduction and operational efficiency
  • Address common objections around switching risk and vendor credibility
  • Educate buyers on billing versus payments infrastructure where needed

Define the GTM Motion

  • Help refine ICP based on real conversations
  • Contribute to messaging and positioning
  • Establish early sales processes and feedback loops

Build Toward Leadership

  • Lay the foundation for future sales hires
  • Grow into a leadership role as the function scales

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience selling SaaS or technology solutions into Mid – Large enterprises
  • A track record of closing complex deals with multiple influential stakeholders 
  • Confidence communicating with C-level and VP-level decision makers
  • Skill in managing long sales cycles, multithreading, and taking a consultative, value-based selling approach.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and nail the message, then tie it all to business outcomes. 
  • Functional understanding of revenue infrastructure, usage-based pricing, billing logic, revenue impact.
  • Strategic data and intent driven outbound business development plan and execution. 
  • Strategic account planning and territory management 
  • Comfortable operating in an early stage environment with limited structure

Preferred

  • Experience in subscription billing, payments, or fintech infrastructure
  • Have worked previous at companies such as:
    • Chargebee
    • Recurly
    • Stripe
    • Zuora
  • Founding AE Experience
