Summary of Position:
The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and tracking the flow of materials, supplies, and products within the company or on a project site. This position ensures that materials are received, stored, and distributed efficiently and that inventory levels are maintained to meet production or operational needs. This position may have a team of Inventory Specialists that report to them.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses; maintain accurate inventory records
- Track inbound and outbound shipments, verifying packaging and accompanying documents
- Laise with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Conduct and coordinate regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Address and resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of warehouses or storage areas
- Maintain knowledge of the material and tools used for project
- Coordinate and direct the work of any Inventory Specialists onsite
- Recommend and create any process improvements for streamlining the inventory processes
- Safety training as required by position
- Paperwork filing and maintenance as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Understanding of materials used in construction or specific project
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Travel required
Preferred Skills:
- Construction industry experience
- Prior inventory or material management experience
