Data Analyst

Data Analyst | Fully Remote | Contract

We’re hiring 3 Data Analysts for a high-impact project supporting Finance and Accounting teams. This is a 3–6 month contract with potential for extension, fully remote, with an ASAP start.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3–10 years of Data Analyst experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python
  • Experience analyzing financial/accounting data such as GL data, invoices, revenue, deferred revenue, accruals, or similar datasets
  • Strong problem-solving skills — able to dig into messy or complex data, identify what’s happening, and determine the “why” behind it
  • Experience turning data into a clear story through reporting and visualization; Power BI preferred, but other visualization tools are relevant
  • Strong communication skills and comfort partnering directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to investigate discrepancies and understand business processes
  • Highly self-directed and able to manage multiple workstreams at once

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll work closely with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders across two primary areas: revenue reconciliation/reporting and usage-based pricing analysis.

The role will involve extracting, combining, and validating data across multiple systems, including Databricks, general ledger data, invoices, and usage-based platforms. You’ll analyze revenue by customer and product, reconcile invoice and usage data, investigate over- or undercharging, and build reporting and visualizations using SQL, Python, Power BI, and related tools.

This is not just a reporting role. We need someone who can take a large, ambiguous data problem, break it into structured workstreams, develop hypotheses, determine what data is needed, investigate discrepancies, and clearly communicate the story behind the findings.

Roughly 50% of the role will be hands-on data analysis, validation, reporting, and visualization, with the other 50% focused on stakeholder communication, process analysis, and understanding why the data looks the way it does.

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, mathematical, engineering, computer science, or related field
  • Power BI and Power Query
  • Experience building datasets and visualizations from raw data
  • Experience automating previously manual reporting or reconciliation processes

Interview: One-and-done Teams interview

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3–6 months + potential extension

Location: Fully remote
