Job Overview

Cyber Security Analyst responsible for translating business security requirements into secure system and application designs. Supports internal clients by identifying and implementing security solutions, assisting with secure configurations, deployments, and patching. Conducts vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, monitoring, and source code analysis, delivering clear results and guidance. Works closely with senior team members to learn processes, solve routine problems, and build foundational security skills.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Conceptual understanding of cyber security principles, practices, and industry standards (5-7 years experience total)

• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, penetration testing concepts, and secure development basics

• Ability to follow established procedures and learn routine assignments

• Strong communication skills and willingness to seek guidance from senior team members

• Ability to build internal working relationships and collaborate with supervisors, project leads, and peers

Plusses

• Internship, academic project work, or hands-on exposure to security tools

• Experience with scanning tools, code analysis, or basic penetration testing

• Exposure to secure configuration, patching, or vulnerability management workflows

• Any coursework or certifications related to cyber security
