Chief of Staff

Chief of Staff to the CEO

A fast-growing, venture-backed technology company is hiring its first Chief of Staff to support the CEO in driving organizational focus, culture, and execution. This hybrid role is based in New York City (~3 days/week in office).


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the CEO to set and manage goals, priorities, and key initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure teams stay aligned and unblocked.
  • Support stakeholder management across customers, investors, and internal leaders.
  • Draft high-quality communication on behalf of the CEO.
  • Improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, and manage recurring workflows (board prep, off-sites, conference planning, etc.)
  • Provide scheduling and travel support as needed (≤20% of the role).

What You Bring

  • Strong EQ, sound judgment, and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to create structure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Direct, concise communicator who can synthesize complex information.
  • Comfortable managing up and operating with ambiguity.
  • Detail-obsessed and reliable—nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Bonus: MBA, consulting experience, or early-stage startup experience.
