The Chief Estimator leads all estimating operations, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, strong client and vendor relationships, and alignment with overall business growth strategy. This role is responsible for overseeing the full estimating process, including bid strategy development, preparation and review of project estimates, and execution of department performance goals. The Chief Estimator also plays a key role in transitioning awarded projects to operations teams, ensuring a smooth and accurate handoff. In addition, this individual builds and maintains relationships with clients and vendors, identifies and pursues new bidding opportunities, and monitors key estimating metrics to drive performance and accountability. The role supports contract negotiations and change order processes while also providing leadership and development to the estimating team to strengthen overall capability and execution.
