Administrative Support Specialist

Overview

Provides general administrative and clerical support, including file management, data entry, document preparation, and handling incoming and outgoing mail. Ensures accurate claim documentation and supports daily office operations.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Type form letters and prepare documents/spreadsheets

• Set up, maintain, and locate claim files

• Process packets and complete accurate data entry

• Document claim files in the system

• Answer and initiate phone calls as needed

• Maintain office supplies

• Send overnight/messenger mail and process returned or unidentified mail

• Transmit faxes and print reports/documents

• Support quality programs and perform additional duties as assigned

Must‑Haves

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong oral and written communication

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Ability to handle work‑related stress and maintain good judgment

• Ability to perform computer keyboarding; occasional travel as required

Plusses

• Six months of clerical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
