Full-Stack Engineer

Company Overview

They are an early-stage technology startup building an AI-native software platform for the IT asset disposition and secondary enterprise hardware markets.

The company's platform helps businesses manage hardware liquidation, buyer onboarding, regulatory compliance, marketplace transactions, and pricing analytics.

Tiber combines traditional software engineering with AI-powered automation to replace manual workflows that currently rely on spreadsheets, email, and fragmented legacy systems.

The founding team has experience across Google, Bridgewater Associates, investment banking, and private equity.

As one of the company's earliest engineering hires, this individual will have the opportunity to contribute directly to foundational product development and work alongside the CTO and founding team.

Position Overview

They are seeking a versatile Full-Stack Engineer to help build and expand its core software platform.

This position offers exposure to multiple areas of software development, including backend infrastructure, data pipelines, regulatory compliance applications, marketplace functionality, and customer-facing product features.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial software engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, learning new technologies, and taking ownership of technical projects.

They are looking for engineers who are comfortable working across the application stack rather than specializing exclusively in one technical domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software features across their platform.
  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines.
  • Contribute to database architecture, schema design, and application integrations.
  • Develop features supporting customer onboarding, KYC verification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the development of export-control classification and sanctions-screening workflows.
  • Build functionality supporting auctions, payments, logistics, and marketplace transactions.
  • Contribute to pricing analytics and data infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain frontend interfaces as required by product initiatives.
  • Participate in quality assurance, debugging, testing, and production support.
  • Leverage modern AI development tools to accelerate software delivery.
  • Work directly with the CTO and founding team to deliver new functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience at an early-stage startup, established software company, or financial institution.
  • Strong backend software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience developing and integrating APIs.
  • Understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data pipelines.
  • Ability to develop, test, and maintain production software.
  • Willingness to work across frontend, backend, and data engineering responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development tools.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to operate independently.
  • Interest in working within a small, rapidly evolving engineering organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience at an early-stage technology startup.
  • Experience developing B2B SaaS applications.
  • Exposure to financial technology, marketplace platforms, or transaction processing.
  • Experience with KYC, sanctions screening, export controls, or compliance software.
  • Familiarity with data engineering and analytical applications.
  • Interest in hardware, e-commerce, or financial markets.
  • Experience working directly with founders or small engineering teams.
