Must Haves

• 6+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years in site reliability, cloud architecture, or platform engineering.
• Strong AWS experience across VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, IAM, RDS, and S3.
• Working experience with Azure.
• Strong Kubernetes and container orchestration experience, including edge or distributed deployments.
• GitLab CI/CD and pipeline design experience.
• Hands-on Terraform experience.
• Enterprise networking experience, including switch configuration, VLANs, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
• Automation and scripting experience with Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience building internal tools and API integrations.
• Experience defining and managing SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Comfortable working in Linux command-line environments.

Plusses

• Serverless architecture experience with Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
• DevSecOps experience, including application, container, and infrastructure security scanning.
• Familiarity with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 frameworks.
• AWS or Azure certifications.
• Experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or SIEM tools.
• Restaurant, retail, or distributed edge technology experience.

Day to Day

• Define reliability standards, track system health, and use error budgets to guide engineering priorities.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability tools to identify issues and reduce detection and resolution times.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable AWS and Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads across cloud and restaurant edge environments.
• Build and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop scripts, internal tools, and integrations to automate repetitive operational work.
• Support mobile application deployments, MDM platforms, and restaurant networking.
• Participate in incident response and on-call coverage; lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Establish cloud governance and security standards, including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and secrets management.
• Integrate security scanning and policy validation into deployment pipelines.
• Partner with reliability, DevOps, engineering, and security teams on architecture and implementation.
• Provide technical mentorship and maintain documentation, runbooks, and architecture decisions.
