Job Summary:

Parks Drilling Company is seeking an experienced Road Mechanic to support our field operations. This position is responsible for traveling to project sites to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment, drilling equipment, fleet vehicles, and support equipment used throughout our drilled shaft foundation operations.

This is a hands-on, field-based position for a mechanic who has extensive experience working on heavy construction equipment and drilling equipment, can troubleshoot independently, and understands the urgency of keeping equipment safe, reliable, and available for crews in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to active project sites to support equipment repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair drilling equipment, heavy construction equipment, trucks, trailers, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and related support equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and work with field leadership to minimize downtime and support safe production.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in the field and coordinate larger repairs with the shop team when needed.
• Inspect equipment for safe operation and identify issues before they affect field execution.
• Maintain service truck tools, parts, supplies, and documentation in an organized and professional manner.
• Communicate repair status, equipment concerns, parts needs, and field priorities with operations, shop leadership, and project teams.
• Represent Parks Drilling professionally while working around customers, crews, vendors, and project stakeholders.

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience working on heavy construction equipment is required.
• Extensive experience working on drilling equipment is required.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, powertrain systems, undercarriage components, and equipment safety systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently in the field with limited supervision.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively based on project needs.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with drill rigs, cranes, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• CDL or ability to obtain a CDL.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training.
• Experience maintaining repair documentation, inspection records, and service reports.
