Safety Professional

What You'll Do

This position is responsible for supporting the execution, compliance, and continuous improvement of internal and client safety programs. The role helps promote a behavior-based safety culture focused on accident prevention, regulatory compliance, and loss mitigation across active construction sites.

• Follow and promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company and client safety policies and procedures.
• Provide safety and health training, instruction, and coaching to employees and field personnel.
• Support compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Assist Safety Management with incident and accident investigations.
• Complete investigation documentation and assist with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative measures.
• Conduct and participate in jobsite safety audits and inspections.
• Review field practices, documentation, and safety records for compliance with established safety programs and OSHA requirements.
• Track and trend recurring safety issues and hazards.
• Support structured problem-solving and corrective action efforts to improve overall safety performance.
• Partner with field leadership and project teams to reinforce safety expectations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Travel to project or client locations as required. Overnight travel is expected to be minimal, approximately 5%.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of occupational health and/or safety experience within a construction environment.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to positively influence, coach, and encourage others regarding safe work practices.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accurate safety documentation.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a project team.
• Ability to work effectively in varying construction and field environments.
• Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as project requirements dictate.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment includes both indoor office settings and active construction sites. Noise levels are generally moderate but may vary depending on project conditions.

The position requires sitting, standing, walking, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movements such as stooping or kneeling.

Additional physical requirements include:

• Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Carrying and climbing ladders up to 20 feet.
• Working in tight or confined spaces when required.
• Operating or working around equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs when required.
• Performing work in varying indoor, outdoor, and construction-site conditions.
