MUST:

  • 3-5 total years of professional experience in corporate communications role OR agency comms (PR agency) 
  • Really strong + comfortable with internal comms for a company- MUST, and exposure to external comms – will do both in this role, but focus mostly on internal to start
  • Strong experience representing a corporate voice
  • Has been hands on with internal intranet experience (work vivo is what they use) (they are going to do an intranet refresh soon)
  • Experience with Mail chimp/any other communications and email platform for building emails
  • Proficient in AP style
  • Bachelors in journalism, comms, marketing etc.
  • Strong writer + developer of content+ strong writing samples to submit with resume
  • Strong developer of content, writing for social, employees internally, marketing, how to pivot voice and messaging across audineces
  • Organized + project management level thought process to navigate the work
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to keep tone light and whimsical
  • Background in working for a regulated financial industry (insurance or financial services or wealth management)
  • Obsession with detail and consistent messaging
  • Super polished + great communication + super professional
  • PR, media management, thought leadership and awards- applying for awards and winning them, working on 3rd white paper right now
  • Experience owning strategy for white papers and blog posts, industry think pieces, ghost written articles
  • NOT hoppy

DAY TO DAY:

We're looking for a Communications Manager who can transform complex information into clear, engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. This individual will play a central role in shaping both internal and external communications, ensuring every message aligns with our brand voice while supporting business objectives.

 

A key responsibility of this position is overseeing our Resource Center, developing and managing educational materials that help financial professionals and clients better understand our products, services, and digital tools. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, eager to become an expert on our product portfolio, and skilled at turning technical concepts into content that is informative, approachable, and easy to navigate.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, the Communications Manager will create, edit, and maintain a wide range of content, including product resources, website copy, marketing collateral, email campaigns, thought leadership articles, launch communications, and sales support materials. They will ensure messaging remains accurate, consistent, and audience-focused across every touchpoint.

Success in this role requires exceptional writing and editorial judgment, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. The right candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive, with a passion for producing high-quality communications that build trust, educate audiences, and strengthen the company's brand presence. This role reports directly to the Director of Communications.
