MUST:

 

• 3+ recent years as a data architect , at least 7+ total years of data experience
• Must have recent experience with Erwin, building models in Erwin – would also take ER Studio
• Strong experience Modeling for data warehouses
• Azure
• Experience working with multiple data sources + raw data from SFTP integrations, api’s, direct database connections
• Very strong with pipelines with Fabri 
• Very strong with writing notebooks and very strong with spark
• Very strong with data lakehouse development
• Understands how to build out a Datawarehouse, temp talbes
• Strong coding in either python or sql
• Understand Source code, git for source code
• Experience with either: Azure devops or jira
• proven experience building robust scalable ETL/LT pipelines
• Comes from a regulated environment – banking is ideal

DAY TO DAY:

Our client is building out a new “align team” to help build a new datawarehouse. This role is fully remote for one of our regional banking clients. The Data Architect is responsible for data modeling and source to target mapping for database development projects, design and user support for business intelligence implementation, design and ownership of the corporate data architecture and related standards, design and maintenance of reference and master data management initiatives, support of a comprehensive data quality program, establishment of meta data management policies and procedures, and development and enforcement of data management standards and controls.

The Data Architect will design and maintain data models in Erwin or ER/Studio and develop source-to-target mappings for a new data warehouse. The Data Architect will work with data from SFTP integrations, APIs, and direct database connections and will help design scalable data warehouse and data lakehouse solutions within Azure. The Data Architect will provide architectural guidance for ETL/ELT pipelines using Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks and will work with Spark, notebooks, SQL, and Python to support data development.

The Data Architect will collaborate with data engineers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure solutions meet data quality, governance, security, and regulatory standards. The Data Architect will also support metadata management, master/reference data, business intelligence initiatives, and the development and enforcement of enterprise data architecture standards.
