MUST:
- 7+ total years of contract bonding and surety experience required.
- Comes from a background of account manager/account executive/fulfilment
- 50% of the time doing their own accounts- will take on most complex largest surety accounts, 50% AE team lead /capacity overflow/guidance/quality control
- Been apart of a team of at least 3-5 AE’s
- Ability to manage volume of double digits premium on their plate
- Mentorship/training experience and desire to do that work
- Must have strong experience with contract bonds (not commercial)
- Has utilized the system Epic for bond/surety before
- Has executed bid and performance bonds + getting them out the door +print bonds + get them fedexed/sent out, etc whole process
- Experience invoicing for bonds
- must come from an insurance company/surety company or come from an agent or broker (agent preferred) , could also be called comes from: underwriter assistant, underwriter, producer, account executive, processor, account manager, coordinator for account execs
- Excel experience + knows basic functions
- Excited about technology + automation + ai (chatgpt and ai assisted work flows)
PLUS:
- Experience with HubSpot or other CRM platforms preferred.
- Experience with Tinubu
- understanding of kpi’s (things like turnaround times, accuracy)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience leading support, operations, service, or workflow-driven teams preferred.

Our insurance client is seeking a dynamic and experienced AE Surety Team Lead. This individual will lead and support daily service operations while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment. Oversee workflow execution to ensure accuracy, consistency, responsiveness, and efficient service delivery across the department. Strengthen operational continuity through cross-training, resource coordination, and support during periods of increased workload or staffing gaps. Develop, implement, and reinforce standardized processes, procedures, and best practices to improve scalability and operational effectiveness. Monitor operational performance metrics and reporting to drive accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify workflow challenges, inefficiencies, and service gaps, and collaborate with leadership to implement practical solutions and process enhancements. Serve as a key operational resource and escalation point, providing guidance and support to maintain service quality and team productivity. Partner with internal leadership and technology stakeholders to support system adoption, workflow optimization, documentation, and operational improvement initiatives while maintaining strong working knowledge of departmental operations to effectively balance strategic oversight with hands-on team support.
