Project Manager to support an active data center buildout in Amarillo, TX. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role overseeing a crew of 32 (with potential to flex to ~40) across both inside plant (Cat 6 cabling) and outside plant (fiber) work in support of the site's security systems.
This is a fast-paced, permanently-agile environment — the ideal candidate is someone who thrives on shifting priorities, has real scope familiarity from prior multimillion-dollar projects, and can operate with a high degree of trust and independence while managing schedule and crew performance onsite full time.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Review recently received RFIs; track responses on active RFIs and monitor incoming ones
- Attend client meetings, both internal and external
- Monitor true performance-to-plan, including how well foremen are mapping out crew days
- Ensure material requests are processed; support and qualify quotes tied to POs (does not issue POs directly)
- Monitor and report on disciplinary matters — actioning is deferred to the client, since crew are client employees
- Oversee supers and foremen, along with 1 admin (coached/guided by the PM team) and 1 material management support role
- Serve as the primary point of client communication and relationship management for the data center workstream
