DAY TO DAY:
In this role, the Manager of Investment Accounting oversees the accounting and financial reporting activities related to the organization's investment portfolio. Working closely with the Controller, the position manages the review of investment accounting completed by external service providers, evaluates investments for fair value and potential impairment, and maintains the schedules that support both U.S. GAAP financial reporting and NAIC statutory reporting, including Blue Book filings. The role serves as a senior individual contributor and relies on deep expertise in investment accounting within the insurance industry, along with a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and NAIC statutory accounting standards to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
