- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) supporting critical mechanical systems in data centers, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong technical expertise in chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, HVAC equipment, AHUs, CRAHs, and associated piping systems.
- Proven experience with mechanical system operations, maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and construction documents.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and building/mechanical regulations.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and field-based projects, with the ability to provide technical leadership during maintenance activities, equipment upgrades, and capital improvements.
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and mechanical controls integration.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability and willingness to work primarily in the field, performing equipment inspections, operational assessments, troubleshooting, and project oversight.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and data center experience are preferred.
