primarily support the integration and deployment of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). In this role you will work closely with the MES Ops Team to adhere to a project schedule integrating various machines/processes into the MES system for manufacturing. The engineer serves as a technical bridge between manufacturing operations, quality, automation, IT, and validation teams.
Primarily the integration will focus on the PLC programming and OPC connection to the Siemens Opcenter MES system.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manages the installation of automation systems while ensuring safety, and validating the automated system for adherence to requirements, CGMPs, and intended system operation.
· Supports Automation Technicians in situations where troubleshooting or technology may fall outside of their area of expertise.
· Interacts with production supervisors/managers to identify areas to improve equipment throughput, flexibility, quality, safety, and/or reliability.
· Plans and executes engineering project work with minimal supervision.
· Troubleshoots equipment/process control systems and change control activities.
· Programs PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems. Specifically A-B PLCs and Ignition SCADA
· Designs and implements modifications to the existing manufacturing equipment that will improve the operational efficiencies.
