This role will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations across residential, hospitality, and food & beverage entities. The Controller will be responsible for managing the close process, financial reporting, lease accounting activities, and internal controls across approximately 15–20 legal entities, including residential leases and venues.
On a daily basis, this individual will work within the company’s accounting and property management systems to review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, revenue reporting, and entity-level financials. They will support multifamily and lease accounting functions, including tenant billing, rent roll reconciliations, CAM reconciliations, and integration between property management systems such as Yardi/Entrata and the general ledger.
This position will also oversee hospitality and food & beverage accounting operations, including restaurant and venue financials, POS integrations, inventory and COGS tracking, and operational reporting. The Controller will partner with operations, property management, asset management, and executive leadership on financial reporting and accounting operations.
The Controller will oversee a team of seven accounting professionals and be expected to step into the role quickly, learn the systems and processes, and take ownership of the accounting function. Leadership is looking for someone confident in their work who can help alleviate pressure from the current team and maintain organization and control across the department.
Performance in this role will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, ownership of the close process, system utilization, and overall accounting operations.
