Trimble TruckMate Implementation Specialist (Contract, Remote)

Our client is seeking an experienced Trimble TruckMate Implementation Specialist to support a full-cycle TMS implementation. This is a highly hands-on, functional/technical role focused on configuring, optimizing, and deploying TruckMate to support core transportation operations.

The specialist will play a key role across implementation, configuration, data migration, integrations, and go-live support.

Responsibilities

• Configure Trimble TruckMate modules including order entry, dispatch, rating, billing, settlements, and user roles/permissions
• Translate business requirements into TruckMate system configuration and workflows
• Lead or support data migration efforts (customers, carriers, lanes, rates, historical data)
• Build, test, and troubleshoot integrations (EDI/API) with internal systems and external partners
• Configure workflows, automation rules, and exception handling within TruckMate
• Support rating logic, accessorials, and billing/settlement processes
• Assist with UAT, issue resolution, and system refinement
• Support go-live planning, execution, and post-launch stabilization
• Create documentation including SOPs, system configurations, and training materials
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, operations teams, and any third-party vendors

Must-Have Qualifications

• Direct hands-on experience implementing and/or configuring Trimble TruckMate
• Strong understanding of transportation workflows (order → dispatch → track → invoice → settle)
• Experience with TMS configuration
• Experience with data migration and system integrations (EDI/API familiarity but does NOT need to be hands on technical)
• Ability to independently troubleshoot system, workflow, and data issues
• Strong communication skills; comfortable in client-facing environments

Preferred

• Prior end-to-end TMS implementation experience
• Experience supporting freight brokerages, 3PLs, or asset-based carriers
• Experience with reporting tools, custom queries, or SQL within TruckMate
• Experience creating SOPs, training documentation, and user enablement materials

Contract Details

• Duration: 4-6 months
• Hours: 20-40 hours per week depending on candidate availability
• Location: Remote
