MUST:
- 10+ years of relevant, progressive experience as an Analytics Engineering
- Strong experience applying business logic to the data, then passing that gold layer data to visualizations in Power BI.
- Expert in SQL and Python
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value. You must be able to partner with non-technical stakeholders to define gold level metrics and manage projects across teams.
- Expert in SQL and performance tuning
- Expert in either PowerBI or Tableau
- Expert in architecting semantic models that enable polished, high-performance dashboards for executive stakeholders
- Expert in Python for scripting, automation, and PANDAS
- Mastery of data modeling best practices
- Expert level in designing modular, reusable, and performant data models (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) that serve as the foundation for analytics.
- Has lead highly scalable large and complex data projects
- Experience working with data engineers who bult the plumbing to then come in with gold layer where we apply business logic to this data
- Very strong experience working with the business to establish definition of for example : new contracted annual occurring revenue. Use this for the 700 reports and technically apply business logic at the end. Applying the business logic
- Operates with a high level of urgency across very high profile/high visibility data work + ok with demanding work
- Ability to Clearly articulate their experience what they did, why it mattered, clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical ppl
- Has business outcomes in their resume
- No start up experience
