Seeking a hands‑on Windows Systems Administrator with strong experience building, configuring, and supporting Windows Server environments. This role is responsible for provisioning servers, integrating systems into Active Directory, troubleshooting via event logs and diagnostics, and supporting system monitoring, alerting, and performance health. The position also assists with operating system maintenance, application support, system management tools, cloud and network infrastructure monitoring, and documentation.
Responsibilities include OS installation and maintenance, system monitoring, security and backup support, scripting for automation, remote access technologies (VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, Hyper‑V), and maintaining IT documentation.
Must‑Haves
• 5+ years implementing and maintaining technology infrastructure
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 (builds, configuration, production readiness)
• Ability to perform OS hardening, patching, and baseline configuration
• Strong experience with Windows Event Viewer (System, Application, Security logs) for root cause analysis
• Comfortable handling incidents end‑to‑end, from detection through resolution
• Experience with system monitoring and alerting
• Understanding of Windows performance counters and service health monitoring
• Ability to assess disk, memory, CPU, and network utilization
• Experience supporting remote access solutions (VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, Hyper‑V)
• Knowledge of cloud‑based applications (preferably Azure)
• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI layers, TCP/IP)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
