Sr. Business Project Manager

DAY TO DAY:

This role is responsible for guiding major initiatives within our client, a fast growing insurance company. The Senior PM will serve as the primary owner of project outcomes aligned with the company’s strategic priorities. The position involves overseeing the full lifecycle of projects—clarifying goals and requirements, translating them into actionable plans, coordinating efforts across teams and stakeholders, and ensuring steady progress through to delivery. Success in this position requires strong business insight and the ability to lead cross-functional contributors from areas such as external vendor partners, finance, legal/compliance, regulatory functions, and insurance product teams. Beyond leading individual projects, the person in this role will help elevate project management practices across the organization. They will provide guidance, coaching, and support to colleagues who manage projects but do not specialize in project management, serving as a model for effective project leadership within the extended PMO. The position reports to the Director of the PMO and requires on-site presence in our client’s Durham, NC office three days per week.
